Superstition tells us that red and white flowers should not be placed together especially in hospitals as they represent blood on bandages. But if that had been put into practice we would not have been able to appreciate this wonderful floral display in church this morning that had been left in situ following a wedding yesterday. Let's hope that the newly wedded couple enjoy as much pleasure throughout their married life as they brought to everyone who enjoyed the sight of these flowers.
