First Of Many

I walked past Victoria Park today and noticed a few clusters of snowdrops but waht really caught my eye were about half a dozen splashes of yellow.


They are the first to burst into flower of many crocuses that are shooting up all the way down Bristol Road and they give the heart a lift knowing that spring is on the way. It's been a long cold winter so any sign of a change in the season is welcome. It's been a showery day with some hail and rain but a good amount of blue skies too and the early sunshine set the tone for the day. The sight of the crocuses topped it off - magical!
